Goal Setting & OKRs – Culture Talk with OfficeVibe


OfficeVibe, a Montreal-based company, has done a series of interviews with executives and thought leaders from many different companies on topics related to company culture. This includes conversations with many performance-driven, open and transparent cultures we admire: Netflix, Hubspot, Zappos, Buffer etc.

A few weeks ago, Jacob Shriar at OfficeVibe interviewed me about the importance of Goal Setting for performance. The interview did not focus on but touched on a increasingly popular methodologies like OKRs (Objectives & Key Results). We discussed several topics about good goal-setting, the importance of tracking small progress steps in achieving goals and the role of habits in increasing productivity and saving time. In the work context, we also talked about the vital role of measurable key results, team communication and transparency that creates an essential culture of accountability and shared purpose.
